First-run tips for the desktop apps

Version 1.0.0 desktop builds are not yet code-signed, so your operating system may show a one-time warning. Here is how to get past it safely.

Windows

Windows SmartScreen may flag this new app because it is not yet code-signed. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway” to install.

macOS

If macOS warns that the app is from an unidentified developer, right-click the app and choose “Open”, then confirm with “Open” again.

Linux

For the AppImage, make it executable first — chmod +x storeskye-1.0.0-linux.AppImage — then run it. The .deb installs with your package manager (sudo dpkg -i).
